On May 25, 1892, he entered into holy matrimony with Katherine Marie Nelson of this community. Immediately after their marriage they located on their farm in Cedar Township, which was Mr. Larson’s home until his death. His wife preceded him in death on December 27, 1938. In their wedlock five children were born: Elmer, Lloyd, Bert, Clifford, and Mrs. Rosella Troge, all of this vicinity. One brother, P.B. Larson, and ten grandchildren also survive. The departed brother has always been an active and exemplary member of the Rock Creek Lutheran church. Mr. Larson has been an exceptionally strong and industrious man, active on his farm until about three years ago when his health began to fail, but it was only during the last week of his life that he was helpless and required constant care. His temporal life ended on October 21, 1939, and the cause of his death was cancer. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. O.C. Myhre at the home at 1 o’clock and at the Rock Creek Lutheran church at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 24th. Interment was made in the Rock Creek Lutheran cemetery. Blessed be his memory.
