                            Ruth E. Lewis

OSAGE, IOWA--Ruth E. Lewis, 88, of Osage, died Wednesday, May 8, 1996,
at the Faith Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United
Church of Christ with the Rev. John Gilbert officiating.

Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Ruth E. Lewis was born April 22, 1908, in Toronto, South Dakota.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeannette Lewis Merijanian of
Montevallo, Ala.; one sister, Norma Lauen of Mason City; one
brother, Richard Hetland of Winchester, Va.; four grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers
and three sisters.

The Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
