OBITUARY: Leo Michels, c1929-2004, Mitchell Co., Iowa

                           Leo W. Michels

Leo Michels, 75, formerly of Meyer, Iowa, passed away on Thursday,
September 30, 2004, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Westover
Funeral Home with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.  There
will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at the Sacred
Heart Church in Meyer, Iowa.

Leo was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, raised in Meyer, Iowa and had
lived in Des Moines for 50 years. He was a purchasing agent for DMACC
for 16 years and for 10 years at Polk County.

Leo is survived by his children Maria Michels and Martin Michels both
of Des Moines; four sisters, Joan Hemann of Osage, Ann (Tom) Marsolek
of Lakewood, Colo., Rose (Dale) Bock of Clive and Jeannette Brandt of
Northfield, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Leo and Pauline Michels; a
brother Bob Michels, a sister Germaine Michels and a brother-in-law
John Hemann.
