                           Joseph J. Novotny

OSAGE, IOWA--Joseph J. Novotny, 83, of Osage, died Monday, June 24, 1996,
at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Champion Funeral Home,
Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating.  Burial will be in
the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Joseph J. Novotny was born Feb. 10, 1913, in Bela, Czechoslovakia.

Survivors include one sister, Mary Hora of Clutier.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepbrother.
