                           Edward Onken

ORCHARD, IOWA--Edward "Weasel" Onken, 76, died Friday, April 12, 1996,
at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home,
Osage, with the Rev. A.C. Wegner officiating.

Burial will be in Orchard Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Edward Enno Onken was born September 29, 1919 at Oakwood.

He is survived by one son, Craig Onken, Eagan, Minn.; three daughters,
Connie Burney of Charles City, Carol Brennan of Mason City, and Candice
Peck of Postville; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Jennie Adams of Osage,
and Donna Onken of Omaha, Neb.; six brothers, John Onken of Greene,
Arthur Onken, James Onken, and Keith Onken, all of Osage, Frank Onken
of Rudd, and Enno Onken, Jr. of Topock, Ariz.
