OBITUARY: Hazel Schultz, 1909-1996, Mitchell County, Iowa [From Mason City Globe Gazette, Mason City, Iowa, June 21, 1996 (edited)] Hazel Schultz ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Hazel Schultz, 86, of St. Ansgar, and formerly of Grafton, Iowa, died Thursday (June 20, 1996) at the Good Samaritan Home, St. Ansgar. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton, with the Rev. Gregory Bjornstad officiating. Burial will be in the Grafton Cemetery. Hazel Schultz was born Nov. 4, 1909, in Barton Township, Worth County, near Grafton. Survivors include one son, Glenn Schultz of West Burlington; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Rodemaker of Manly, Gertrude Merkel of Mason City, and Evelyn Nelson of Lime Springs; and two brothers, Armond Braun of St. Ansgar and Everett Braun of Grafton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sons, one brother and one sister. Memorials may be directed to the Emmanuel Lutheran Sunday School.
