                           Irene J. Thome

STACYVILLE, IOWA--Irene J. Thome, 73, of Stacyville, died Tuesday, May
28, 1996, at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Visitation
Church, with the Rev. Paul Otting officiating. Burial will be in the
Visitation Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Visitation
Church Hall with a 3 p.m. rosary and an 8 p.m. Scripture reading.

Hatten Funeral Home, Stacyville, is in charge of arrangements.

Irene J. Thome was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Stacyville.

Survivors include her husband, Gregor J. Thome; two daughters,
Betty Blake of Stacyville, and Pat Adams of Virginia Beach, Va.;
three sons, Bob Thome of Little Falls, Minn.; Ken Thome of Wayzata,
Minn., and Don Thome of Las Cruces, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; one
great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leon Heimer of Stacyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
