OBITUARY: Mary Kathleen (Von Tersch) Veren, 1943-1995, Mitchell Co., Iowa Adapted from: MASON CITY GLOBE GAZETTE - Circa Oct. 13, 1995 Mary Kathleen Veren COLUMBIA, Mo.-- Mary Kathleen Veren, 52, of 1801 Garden Drive, Columbia, Missouri, and formerly of Osage, Iowa, died Tuesday Octpber 10, 1995, at home, of natural causes. Funeral services were held Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, was in charge of arrangements. Kathy was born Aug. 30, 1943, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of William J. Von Tersch and Cecelia (nee) Smith Von Tersch. She moved with her family to Osage in 1946, attended Osage schools and graduated from Osage High School in 1961. She attended Rochester, Minn., Junior College and was employed by Mayo Clinic. Kathy was united in marriage to Darrell Veren on May 1, 1965, in Osage. They lived in Osage, Maxwell, Monroe, Cedar Rapids and Columbia, Mo. She is survived by her mother, Cecelia Von Tersch of Osage; her husband, Darrell Veren of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter, Mary Frances Bolander and her husband, Eric, of Gurnee, Ill.; one son, Bill Veren and his wife, Cheryl, of Fairfax, Vt.; three sisters, Sheila Moksnes and her husband, Duane, of Minnetonka, Minn.; Peg Bowe of Mason City; Joan Kleckner and her husband, Bruce, of Fresno, Calif.; two brothers, Tom Von Tersch and his wife, Marilyn, of Osage, and Tim Von Tersch and his wife, Annette, of Cedar Falls.
