                         Franklin Warren Betow

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Franklin Warren Betow, 76, of St. Ansgar, died Thursday,
Jan. 16, 1997, at the Good Samaritan Home in St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held today at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, in
St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Chris Gugel officiating. Burial will be in the
St. Ansgar City Cemetery.

Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Franklin Warren Betow was born Oct. 13, 1920, in Myrtle, Minnesota.

Survivors include three daughters, Alberta Cresswell of Mason City,
Luella Funk of Mason City and Frances Hannam of Lakewood, Calif.; seven
grandchildren; and one brother, Burton Betow of Brainerd, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother and one
daughter.
