OBITUARY: Irene (Rosenberg) Boettcher, 1917-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                          Irene Boettcher

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Irene Boettcher, 79, of St. Ansgar, died Wednesday, April
23, (1997) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran
Church, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.  Burial will
be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Township.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Schroeder and Sites
Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.

Irene Boettcher was born Nov. 14, 1917, in Newburg Township, Mitchell
County.  She was the daughter of Robert Carl Rosenberg and Caroline
Anna Dieterichs.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey Boettcher of St. Ansgar; one sister,
Allene (Alton) Halvorson of St. Ansgar; and one brother, Elmer Rosenberg
of Grafton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
