OBITUARY: Clarence Clausen, 1919-1996, Mitchell County, Iowa [From Mason City Globe Gazette, Mason City, Iowa, Nov. 22, 1996 (edited)] Clarence Clausen ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Clarence Clausen, 77, of St. Ansgar, died Wednesday (Nov. 20, 1996) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at St. Ansgar Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Gonnerman officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Riceville. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar. Clarence Clausen was born Oct. 24, 1919, in Riceville. Survivors include his wife, Winifred of St. Ansgar; three daughters, Darlene Summer, of Floyd, Alice Clausen, of Osage, and Anna Smith, of Forest City; three sons, Martin Rasmussen, of Manly, Archie Rasmussen and Roger Rasmussen, both of Mason City; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Esther Walker, of Arizona, Ruby Harold, of California, and Mary Weed, of Illinois; and two brothers, Leo Clausen, of Osage, and Alfred Clausen, of Coggan.
