OBITUARY: Donna Belle (Griggs) Klemesrud, 1933-1996, Mitchell County, Iowa [From Mason City Globe Gazette, Mason City, Iowa, Sept. 24, 1996 (edited)] Donna Belle Klemesrud WEST RICHLAND, WASH.--Donna Belle Griggs Klemesrud, 62, of West Richland, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996, in Walla Walla, Washington. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Einan's Funeral Home, Richland. A second memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 1996, at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Osage, Iowa. Burial will be in Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery. Donna Belle Griggs Klemesrud was born on Dec. 27, 1933, in Rockford, Iowa, to Milo L. and Lenora B. (Riehm) Griggs. Donna and her husband, John Klemesrud, farmed in Iowa many years. John preceded her in death in April of 1970. In 1984, Donna moved to Tucson, Ariz., where she worked as a nurse's aide until retiring. She had lived in West Richland two years. She was a member of the Rock Creek Lutheran Church until 1988, and was currently a member of the Center for Positive Living in Kennewick. She is survived by three sons: Tracy of West Richland, Wash.; Terry of Gladbrook, Iowa, and Tim of Duncan, Ariz.; four daughters, Brenda Kelmel of West Richland, Wash.; Babette Thome of Adel, Iowa; Becky Thome and Bonny Steeves, both of Heber Springs, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and one sister, Lorraine Hall of Rockford, Iowa.
