                      Florence Griga Milbrandt

CHARLES CITY, IOWA--Florence Griga Milbrandt, age 85, of Charles City,
and formerly of Osage, died Sunday, May 18, [1997] at Floyd County Memorial
Hospital.

Private services were held with the Rev. Newland officiating, and burial
was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Mitchell.

Florence was born Nov. 21, 1911, in Sac City.

Survivors include one son, Gary Griga of Charles City; eight grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Lucille Werner of Osage,
Kathleen Hemann of Osage, and Bernice Runde of Riceville; two stepsons,
Ralph Milbrandt of Grafton, and Robert Milbrandt of Rochester, Minn.;
32 stepgrandchildren; and numerous stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one daughter, one
brother, four half sisters and one half brother.

Champion Funeral Home, Osage, was in charge of arrangements.
