                          Axel (Skip) Hansen
                          
ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Axel (Skip) Hansen Jr., 63, died Saturday (Oct. 26, 1996)
at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church,
St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Robert Porisch officiating.  Burial will be in
the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Schroeder and
Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.

Axel (Skip) Hansen Jr. was born June 10, 1933, in Newburg Township,
Mitchell County.

Survivors include one daughter, Laurie Hansen of Stillwater, Minn.; two
sons, Gary Hansen of Margate, Florida, and Jeffery Hansen of Winterset;
one sister, Judy Wilson of Laguna Beach, Calif; one brother, Chuck Hansen
of St. Ansgar; and four grandchildren.
