                          Lovella Hanson

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Lovella Hanson, 86, of St. Ansgar, died Tuesday, Oct. 1,
1996, at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Deer Creek Lutheran
Church, Carpenter, with the Rev. Kathryn Larson officiating. Burial will be
in Newburg Cemetery, Carpenter.

The Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lovella Hanson was born Aug. 28, 1910, in Winnebago County, Iowa.

Survivors include four daughters, Janet Schroeder of Britt; Marilyn Wilder
of St. Ansgar; Ellen Krueger of State College, Pa., and Sharon Rupe of West
Des Moines; two sons, Marvin Hanson and Roger Hanson, both of St. Ansgar;
16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two
great-grandchildren.
