OBITUARY:  Cletus F. Hatten, 1922-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                          Cletus F. Hatten

STACYVILLE, IOWA--Cletus F. Hatten, 74, of Stacyville, died Tuesday,
February 4, 1997, in Mesa, Arizona.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 8th, at the Visitation
Church with the Rev. Schneider officiating.  Burial was in the Visitation
Church Cemetery.

The Hatten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Cletus F. Hatten was born Oct. 15, 1922, in Britt.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Jane Hatten; three daughters, Jane
Hatten, Susan Hosek and Nancy Theobald; three sons, Nicholas, Edward
and James; one sister, Ramona Ford; two brothers, Edward and Donald;
14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two granddaughters.
