OBITUARY: Clarence M. Hemann, 1918-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa [Based on Obituary in Mason City Globe Gazette; Feb. 10, 1997] Clarence M. Hemann STACYVILLE, IOWA--Clarence M. Hemann, 78, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 11th, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville, with the Rev. John W. Hemann of Garner officiating. Burial was in the Visitation Cemetery. Clarence M. Hemann was born May 6, 1918, in Stacyville. He farmed in rural Stacyville for 40 years. He was a lifetime member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Mary (Gilles) Hemann; five daughters, Carol and husband Jim Dunlay of Woodbury, Minn., Arlene Hausen of Minneapolis, Minn., Phyllis of Des Moines, Patricia and husband Roger Atherton of Mason City and Lorraine and husband Mike Bode of Algona; three sons, Wayne and wife Tama of Iowa City, Stanley and wife Catherine of Mason City and Anthony and wife Mary Elizabeth of Seoul, South Korea; two sisters, Helen Falada of Stacyville and Marie and husband Glen Borchardt of Mason City; two brothers, Herbert and wife Irene Hemann of Stacyville and Alfred and wife Darlene Hemann of Stacyville; and 18 grandchildren.
