                       Pauline E. Hoffman

STACYVILLE, IOWA-- Pauline E. Hoffman, 80, of 101 South Water Street,
died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, at the Stacyville Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Visitation Catholic
Church, Stacyville, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill of Osage, Iowa.  Burial
will be in the Visitation Catholic Church Cemetery.

The Hatten Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pauline was born Jan. 8, 1916 in Meyer, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Hoffman; two daughters, Charlotte
Fails of North Hollywood, Calif., and Janet Chico of Glendale, Calif.;
one son, Gary Hoffman of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren; and two sisters
Jackie Smith and Agnes Corwin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
