OBITUARY: Edna Helen Hollatz Muller, 1905-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa [Adapted from Mason City Globe Gazette, pub. Jan. 11, 1997] Edna Helen Hollatz Muller FORT MORGAN, Colo.--Edna Helen Hollatz Muller, 91, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, at Valley View Villa. Burial was Jan. 4, at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Morgan. Edna Hollatz was born June 26, 1905, in Newburg Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Helena Hollatz. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church and attended Carpenter, Iowa, schools. After her education, she worked for the St. Ansgar Enterprise. On March 3, 1926, Edna Hollatz and Arnold Muller were married in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar, Iowa. They farmed in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa. In 1949, they moved to Fort Morgan, where they were partners in the Muller-Sheve Feed and Seed Store. Survivors include her daughters, Helen and her husband, Del Ingvalson of Gaylord, Minn., and Mildred McPhail of Osage, Iowa; grandchildren, Barbara and Mark Anderson of Woodbury, Minn.; Gary and Evette Ingvalson of Mankato, Minn.; Jeanne and Ron Bruggeman of Northwood, Iowa; Brian McPhail of Osage, Iowa; Jay and Natalie McPhail of Hanley Falls, Minn.; Susan Palmer of Ogden, Utah; Jason Buxman of Port Orchard, Wash.; Jeremy Buxman of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Jennifer and Eric Mello of Burlington, Wash.; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ortwein Hollatz of Osage, Iowa; one sister, Elsie Dieterich of Osage, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold; one daughter, Carol Buxman; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Buxman and Mary Lea Leonard; four brothers; and three sisters. Copyright 2004, K.
