OBITUARY: Robert M. Kleckner, 1916-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                        Robert M. Kleckner

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA-- Robert M. Kleckner, 81, of St. Ansgar, died Tuesday,
July 15, [1997] at Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church,
with the Rev. Joseph Schneider and the Rev. John Smith officiating. Burial
will be in St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Robert M. Kleckner was born Jan. 20, 1916, near New Haven.

Survivors include by his wife, Frances Kleckner of St. Ansgar; three sons,
Gary Kleckner of Ankeny; Douglas Kleckner of St. Ansgar, and Bruce Kleckner
of Fresno, Calif.; three daughters, Sandra Anderson of Antioch, Ill.; Jean
White of Fullerton, Calif., and Carolyn Williams of Austin, Minn.;
13 grandchildren; three brothers, Maurice Kleckner of St. Ansgar; James
Kleckner of Vail, Colo., and William Kleckner of Stevens Point, Wis.; and
two sisters, Bernice Paulson of Osage, and Mary Schwalbe of Lake Tahoe,
California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, three brothers and
two sisters.

The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
