                        Wilfred John Koenigs

STACYVILLE, IOWA--Wilfred John Koenigs, 76, of 106 Green St., died Thursday,
Feb. 13, 1997, at Stacyville.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb 17th, at Visitation Catholic
Church, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating.  Burial was in the
Visitation Cemetery.

Wilfred John Koenigs was born May 30, 1920, in Meyer.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Koenigs, Stacyville; one daughter,
Mary Medinnus, Adams, Minn.; one son, Joseph Koenigs of Osage; three
grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Goergen, Adams, Minn., and Sister
Cortona, OSF, Dubuque; and two brothers, Joseph C. Koenigs, Adams, Minn.,
and Al P. Koenigs, Stacyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Hatten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
