OBITUARY: Carl Kubicek, 1911-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                            Carl Kubicek

RICEVILLE, IOWA--Carl Kubicek, age 85, of Riceville, died Wednesday, May
14, [1997] at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Osage, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 19th, at the Riceville United
Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Lovejoy officiating.  Burial will
be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Carl Kubicek was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Elma.

Survivors include his wife, Merle, of Riceville; two daughters, Linda
Harvey of Champaign, Illinois, and Carol Erickson of Indianapolis, Indiana;
and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and seven brothers.

The Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
