                           Dean Lubbert

RICEVILLE, IOWA--Dean Lubbert, 52, of Riceville, died Thursday, Jan. 30,
1997, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 2nd, at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, with the Rev. Matthew Versemann officiating.  Burial was in the
Riverside Cemetery.

Dean Lubbert was born Oct. 10, 1944, in Osage, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lubbert of Riceville; three daughters:
Sheila Lubbert of Omaha, Nebraska; Deanna Halverson of Spring Grove,
Minnesota, and Stacy Lubbert of Riceville; and one son, Cory Lubbert of
Riceville; and two brothers, Dale of Riceville, and Robert of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
