OBITUARY: Henry Mausehund, 1880-1964, Mitchell County, Iowa Henry Mausehund Funeral services were held last Thursday at Eden Presbyterian church near Rudd for Henry Mausehund, 84, who died at his home on December 28th. The Rev. H.A. Smidt, church pastor, was in charge of the services. Burial was in the church cemetery. Henry Mausehund was born February 16, 1880 at Heinbach, Germany, the son of Nicholas and Katherine Stuckrad Mausehund. When he was 15 years of age he came to the United States and worked as a farmhand in this vicinity. His marriage to Gertrude Heinzerling took place on November 21, 1906. They made their home on a farm near Rudd, retiring to Mason City in 1944. He was a member of Eden Presbyterian Church. Preceding him in death were his parents, six sisters and two brothers. His wife, Gertrude; one daughter, Mrs. Verna Briggs of Mason City; one son, Herbert of rural Rudd; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren survive him. Copyright 2004, Steve Norby
