OSAGE, IOWA--S. Earl Penney, 97, Osage, died Wednesday (Sept. 25, 1996)
at the Faith Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the United
Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Barrick officiating. Burial
will be in the Osage Cemetery, with military rites by the American
Legion Post #278 of Osage; and a Masonic service at the grave by the
Osage Lodge #102 A.F. & A.M.

The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.

S. Earl Penney was born May 16, 1899, at Stacyville, Mitchell county, Iowa.

Survivors include one son, Stephen Gregg Penney of Richfield, Minn.; four
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, one sister and
two brothers.
