OBITUARY: Maurice Pilgrim, 1918-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                          Maurice Pilgrim

OSAGE, IOWA--Maurice Pilgrim, 78, died Friday (April 11, 1997) at the
Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Church of
Christ with the Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating. Burial will be in the
Osage Cemetery with military rites at the grave by VFW Post 7920 of Osage.

Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home
and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Maurice was born Aug. 14, 1918 at Osage.

Survivors include one sister, Wildora Merrill of Osage; and one brother,
Earl Pilgrim of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and second wife.
