                           Edgar Scheer

ST ANSGAR, IOWA--Edgar Scheer, 86, of St. Ansgar, died Thursday, February
20, 1997, at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 24, at the Immanuel Lutheran
Church, with the Rev. Edward Schmidt officiating. Burial was in the
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Edgar Scheer was born Feb. 22, 1910, in Colmen, S.D.

He is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Stuckey of Gering, Nebraska;
Eleanor Koenigs of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; and Etta Jensen of Creighton,
Nebraska; three brothers, Martin of Dubois, Wyoming; Elmer of Amesworth,
Nebraska; and Earl of Creighton, Nebraska; five grandchildren; and 15
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter, a brother
and a sister.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, was in charge of arrangements.
