OBITUARY: Arnold Frank Sheka, 1916-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa [Based on Obituary in Mason City Globe Gazette; July 16, 1997] Arnold Frank Sheka GRAFTON, IOWA-- Arnold Frank Sheka, 80, of rural Grafton, died Sunday, July 13, [1997] at the Mitchell County Regional Hospital, Osage. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, at the United Methodist Church in Plymouth, with the Rev. Deborah Stowers and the Rev. Richard Pippert officiating. Burial will be in Bohemian Cemetery, Plymouth. Arnold Frank Sheka was born on Sept. 23, 1916, in Union Township, near Grafton, the son of Edward E. And Josephine (Chladek) Sheka. He attended and received his education in the rural schools in Union Township and spent his entire lifetime farming on the family farm near Grafton. He was a member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church and director for the Bohemian Cemetery Association. Survivors include one sister, Clarice Ardery of Anaheim, Calif.; one niece, Julie Ann of Anaheim, Calif.; one grand-niece, Tracy of Anaheim, Calif.; as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Doris and Beatrice; and three brothers, Elmer, Harold and Kenneth. The Bride Colonial Chapel, 110 E.
