OBITUARY: Dean Squier, 1924-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa [Based on Obituary in Mason City Globe Gazette; Mar. 29, 1997] Dean Squier OSAGE, IOWA--Dean Squier, 72, of Osage, died Thursday (March 27, 1997) at his home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Dean Hanson and the Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements. Dean was born Nov. 8, 1924, in rural Osage. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor, of Osage; one daughter, Julie Riker of Mason City; one son, Mark Squier of Edmond, Okla.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Adams and Phyllis Peterson, both of Austin, Minn.; three brothers, Keith Squier of Centerville, Larry Squier of Backus, Minn., and Bill Squier of St. Ansgar; one half sister, Patricia Rowson; and one half brother, Marvin Arp.
