                          Dale L. Thompson

OSAGE, IOWA--Dale L. Thompson, 92, of Osage, died Monday, Dec. 16, 1996,
at the Good Samaritan Center in St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at Champion Funeral Home, with
the Rev. Ted Stowers officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Dale L. Thompson was born Jan. 16, 1904, in Clarion, Iowa.

Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Barker of Little Cedar,
and Shirley Sletten of Osage; one stepdaughter, Esther Schafer
of Muscatine; two sons, Dean Thompson of Osage, and Marvin Thompson
of Mason City; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, second wife, one
brother, one sister and one stepdaughter.
