                        Leslie V. Tibbits

OSAGE, IOWA--Leslie V. Tibbits, 92, of Osage, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997,
at the Mitchell County Regional Health Care Center in Osage.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 4th, at the Champion
Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Bates officiating. Burial will be in
the Osage City Cemetery.

Leslie Tibbits was born May 27, 1904, in rural Osage.

Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Bly of Osage; two sons, Wayne
Tibbets, Evansdale, and John Tibbits of Bloomington, Minn.; nine
grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and three
sisters.
