                            James S. Tracy

OSAGE, IOWA--James S. Tracy, 75, of Charles City, formerly of Osage, died
Sunday, March 30, 1997, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at Champion Funeral Home, with
the Rev. William Grifee officiating.  Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery.

James was born Feb. 26, 1922, in Guthrie Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Wetherell of Orchard and Linda Hult
of Long Grove; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, and three
brothers.
