                           Orval W. Trettin

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Orval W. Trettin, 87, of St. Ansgar, died Wednesday, July
31, 1996, at the Good Samaritan Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the St. Ansgar City
Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Gonnerman of the St. Ansgar Baptist Church,
officiating.

Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.

Orval W. Trettin was born March 1, 1909, in Barton Township, Worth County,
Iowa.

Survivors include one nephew, Richard Trettin, of St. Ansgar; and two
nieces, Kathy Rosenberg of St. Ansgar, and Bonnie Kruger of Grafton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
