OBITUARY: Donald W. Wright, 1940-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                           Donald W. Wright

ORCHARD, IOWA--Donald Wallace Wright, 57, of rural Orchard, died Saturday
(March 15, 1997) at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Church of
Christ in Osage with the Rev. Robert Melhorn officiating.  Burial will
be in the Howardville Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home, Osage,
and one hour prior to services at the church.

Donald was born Jan. 19, 1940, in Osage.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Orchard; three daughters,
Bonnie Wright of Indianapolis, Ind., Mary Spitz of Waukon, and Ruth
Wright of Ames; two sons, Bruce Wright of Iowa City, and Glen Wright
of Osage; his mother, Patricia Wright of Elma; two grandsons; five
brothers; and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother.
