OBITUARY: Elfrieda Bertha Zacharda, 1917-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                      Elfrieda Bertha Zacharda

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--ElFrieda Bertha Zacharda, 79, of St. Ansgar, died on
Monday, April 14, [1997] at her home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church,
with the Rev. Edward Schmidt officiating.  Burial will be in St. Ansgar
City Cemetery.  The Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in
charge of arrangements.

Elfrieda Bertha Zacharda was born July 18, 1917, in Otranto Township,
Mitchell County.

Survivors include one daughter, Frances Zacharda of Austin, Minn.; one
son, Ronald, of Bloomington, Minn.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.
