OBITUARY: Iver Halvorson, 1875-1947, Mitchell County, Iowa




                           Iver Halvorson

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 15, 1947 at the Champion
Funeral Home and at Rock Creek Lutheran Church for Iver Halvorson, age 71.
Mr. Halvorson died at his home Wednesday, February 12, 1947 in the Rock
Creek community.  The Rev. S.O. Sorlien was in charge of the rites and
burial was made in the Rock Creek cemetery.

Iver Halvorson was born October 3, 1875 at Hadeland, Norway to Halvor and
Ragnhild (Horgen) Halvorson.  He immigrated to America coming to the Rock
Creek community.  He was married to Alice Huset on July 25, 1912.  She
preceded him in death last year.  Survivors include two children, Clarissa
and Howard, at home, and two brothers, Peter and Henry, all of the Rock
Creek community southwest of Osage.
