OBITUARY:  F. Jay Hatfield, c1844-1888, Mitchell County, Iowa



                            Mr. F. Jay Hatfield

HATFIELD - At the residence of his parents, in this city, January 4, 1888.
Mr. F. Jay Hatfield in the forty-third year of his age.

The deceased had lived in Osage and vicinity most of his life, but about
nine years ago moved to Wisconsin.  Two years ago he buried his wife, and
last June came, stricken with an incurable disease, to spend his last days
among his friends.  The deceased leaves four children, two of whom have been
adopted by their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Cole.  His funeral services
were from the house.  Religious services were conducted by Rev. R. D. Parsons.
