OBITUARY: Christina (Halverson) Herron, 1867-1903, Mitchell County, Iowa Christina Halverson Herron Christina Halverson was born in Gal Hallaingdo [Gol, Hallingdal?], Norway, Nov. 17, 1867, and died at her home in Osage, Iowa, May 27, 1903. Until about fifteen years ago she lived with her parents in her native land then she lived near Faribault, Minnesota, for a short time, and then until her marriage to Wm. H. Herron, April 9, 1892, she lived with an aunt at St. Ansgar. She was the mother of four children, two sons and two daughters, the oldest of whom is eleven years, youngest less than two. Besides these there are the husband and aunt, Mrs. Kerr, of St. Ansgar, and her aged parents still living in Norway. For some months past it was noticed that she was failing but, she kept industriously at her work, laboring for those she loved and never complaining, but in spite of all efforts death claimed her at last.
