OBITUARY: Evelyn Ruth (Muller) Hilsman, 1911-1972, Mitchell County, Iowa




                       Evelyn Ruth Muller Hilsman

Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph (Evelyn) Hilsman, 60, were held Monday at
the Eden Presbyterian Church north of Rudd. Mrs. Hilsman died Thursday May
18, 1972 at a LaCrosse, Wisconsin hospital.  Burial was made in the Eden
Presbyterian cemetery.

Evelyn Muller was born November 15, 1911 in Floyd County to Otto and Nora
Dobler Muller.  She graduated from Rudd High School and married Ralph
Hilsman on December 10, 1930.  The couple farmed in the Nora Springs,
Rockford, and Rudd areas.

Survivors include: her husband, Ralph; five sons: Dale, West Bloomington,
MN, Lyndon and David, both of Osage; Gerald, a missionary in Mexico; and
Darrell (Rick) of Rudd; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Joyce) Henry of Cresco,
Iowa.  One sister and four brothers also survive: Mrs. Bernice DeVries,
San Leandro, CA, Ralph Muller, Sterling, IL, Forrest Muller, Rockford,
Iowa, Mervin Muller, Orchard, IA and Laurence Muller, Ramond, MN.
