OBITUARY: Laura Lauratta (Nelson) Libersky, 1894-1979, Mitchell County, Iowa Laura Lauratta Nelson Libersky (St. Ansgar Enterprise, St. Ansgar, Iowa; 8 MAR 1979) Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Libersky, 84, of St. Ansgar, who died February 26, 1979, in Osage, were held march 2 at First Lutheran church here, with the Rev. Stephen Engelstad officiating. Laura Lauratta Libersky was born November 25, 1894 in Mitchell county, the daughter of Frank and Louisa (Quitzau) Nelson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran Church. Her earlier years were spent on a farm north of St. Ansgar, and in St. Ansgar. March 12, 1921 she was united in marriage to charles Liberksy in Waterloo. Three children were born to this marriage, Charles, Robert and Ermajean. They resided on a farm north of St. Ansgar near where she grew up until the fall of 1951. They then moved to their present home in St. Ansgar. Mrs. Libersky was a member of First Lutheran Church, St. Ansgar. Survivors include her husband, Charles; a daughter, Mrs. Reginald (Ermajean) Bullis of LaPorte City; a son, Robert of rural St. Ansgar; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Tyrrell of Osage and Mrs. Mary Hansen of St. Ansgar. She was preceded in death by one son, Charles and two brothers Carl and Andrew Nelson. Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of commital services.
