OBITUARY: Jerome W. Mackin, 1914-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                         Jerome W. Mackin

OSAGE, IOWA-- Jerome W. Mackin, 83, of Osage, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 1997,
at the Osage Rehabilitation Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27th, at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, with the Father Philip Recker officiating. Burial will be in Sacred
Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Jerome W. Mackin was born July 5, 1914, at Waterloo, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Osage; one daughter, Meredith Macdonald,
of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
