                        Alverda A. Neuwohner

OSAGE, IOWA-- Alverda A. Neuwohner, 93, of Osage, and formerly of Dubuque,
died Monday (Sept. 29, 1997) at her home.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, Osage, with the Rev. Philip Recker officiating.  Burial will be
held on Friday in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, with the Rev. Edgar Kurt
officiating.

Alverda A. Neuwohner was born July 26, 1904, in Bellevue.

Survivors include one daughter, Norma O'Harran of Bettendorf; one son,
James Neuwohner of Osage; two grandsons; and four great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.

The Champion Funeral Home, Osage, is in charge of arrangements.
