                          Leonard Nordyke

Funeral services for Leonard "Dugan" Nordyke, 69, of Eldora, Iowa, were held
in Eldora on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005. He died at Allen Memorial Hospital in
Waterloo on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, from complications following surgery.

Dugan was born June 3, 1935 at McIntire, Mitchell County, Iowa, to Jesse
and Marie Nordyke. He attended school in Osage and later moved to Eldora.
He was employed at Prairie Land Co-op at Union for 30 years. He retired in
1997. In his retirement he worked for the Coop during the harvest season.
He also was a handyman and woodworker.

He married Hazel Blandau on June 20, 1969 in Elk Point, S.D. They enjoyed
their winters in Texas for several years.

Dugan was preceded in death by his parents, a son Leonard Scott, two
grandchildren, three brothers Mervin, Donald and an infant.

His survivors include his wife Hazel; four daughters Beverly Nordyke,
Boone, Regina (Lynn) Allbee, Iowa Falls, Vickie (Don) Paul, Eldora and
Jill (Ray) Johnson, Pasadena, Texas; a son Mike (Connie) Blandau, Eldora;
12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters Neva Whitmore
(Chuck Moore), Osage, Zola (Reuben) Borchardt, Plymouth and Darla Barrett
of Peoria, Ill., and a sister-in-law, Rosemary Nordyke, Des Moines; several
nieces, nephews and many friends.
