OBITUARY: Mabel (Odden) Anderson, 1902-1973, Mitchell County, Iowa Mabel Odden Anderson Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Lester Anderson, 71, who died November 9, 1973 at the Osage Nursing Home. The Rev. Richard Thompson, church pastor, was in charge of the rites and arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Mabel Elnora Odden was born June 24, 1902 in Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Johanna Dammen Odden. She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Creek Lutheran Church and received her education in the rural schools of the area. Lester Anderson and Mabel Odden were united in marriage on June 24, 1925. They farmed in this area until moving to Osage in 1948. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and was active in her circle and the ALCW until her health failed. Surviving are her husband, Lester; one brother, Lloyd Odden; and two sisters, Mrs. Elvin (Olga) Docken and Mrs. Gilbert (Stella) Anderson all of Osage and several nieces and nephews.
