OBITUARY: Viola Thorine (Olson) Scheidegger, 1900-1973, Mitchell County, Iowa Viola Olson Scheidegger Funeral services for Mrs. Viola T. Scheidegger, 72, were held Wednesday at the Hage Funeral Home in Charles City, Iowa. She died Sunday, April 15, 1973 at the home of her daughter near Charles City. The Rev. Donald L. Berg, pastor of the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, was in charge of the service. Burial was in the Rock Creek Lutheran cemetery. Viola Thorine Olson was born August 31, 1900 to Olavus and Johanna Johnson Olson in Rudd Township, Floyd County, IA. She was baptized and later confirmed her Christian faith at he rock Creek Lutheran Church. She received her education in the rural schools of Floyd County and graduated from the Charles City Business College. She was married February 27, 1932 to Chester Scheidegger. Their marriage was later terminated. Her parents, one brother, Warren Olson, and one infant sister preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Phyllis) Bettesworth of rural Charles City, IA; three grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. George (Olive) Kirley of rural Rudd, IA and Mrs. Peter (Ella) Iverson of rural Osage; nieces and nephews.
