OBITUARY: Mabel H. (Olson) Sawyer, 1915-2005, Mitchell County, Iowa
                                       



                             Mabel H. Sawyer

Memorial services for Mabel H. Sawyer, age 89, of Osage, Iowa, were held
Friday, March 11, 2005, at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in
Osage with Rev. Rick Magstadt officiating.

Private family burial was at the Osage Cemetery.  Mabel went to be with
the Lord on Monday, March 7, 2005, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health
Care Center.

Mabel was born October 31, 1915, in rural Winnebago County to Carl and Inga
(Thorson) Olson. She graduated from Commerce High School in Detroit,
Michigan.   Mabel married Harold R. Sawyer on November 5, 1939, in Osage,
Iowa.   To this union two children were born. Harold passed away in 1977.
Mabel was a long time member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance
Church of Osage.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; her parents; four brothers,
Arthur, Clarence "Dick", Elmand "Ted", and Orville Olson; and one infant
sister, Eda.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry R. (Marcia) Sawyer of
Plano, Texas; Sandy K. (Gary) Gilbert of Osage; four grandchildren, Michele
(Len) Shultz, Mindy (Jimmy) Schreiber, Brian (Lynette) Gilbert, and Steven
(Jodi) Gilbert; and six great-grandchildren.
