OBITUARY: Clinton O. Shomber, 1911-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                          Clinton O. Shomber

OSAGE, IOWA-- Clinton O. Shomber, 86, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, at the
Osage Rehabilitation and Health Center.

Funeral services will be held today at the St. Ansgar Baptist Church, with
the Rev. Gary Gonnerman officiating. Burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery,
Orchard.

Clinton O. Shomber was born March 14, 1911, in Homewood, Kansas.

Survivors include four daughters, Louise Hinrichsen, Barbara Miller,
Dorothy Turner and Linda Riker, all of Osage; one son, Charles Shomber
of Augusta, Ga.; one brother, Harold Shomber of Ottawa, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, one sister, one
brother and one son.

Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.
