OBITUARY: Clark J. Wallace, 1847-1906, Mitchell County, Iowa




                            Clark J. Wallace

Clark J. Wallace was born at Crows Point, New York, January 8, 1847 and
died at his home in Osage, Iowa, on the morning of January 10, 1906 aged
fifty-nine years and six days.

On November 24, 1867, he was united in marriage to Hattie A. Cheney, at
Ticonderoga, New York.  One child was born to bless this union, Minnie D.
who survives him.  In November, 1877, his beloved wife passed away at this
home in Waterloo, Iowa.

December 10, 1990, he was married to Lillie A. Aldrich at Perry, Iowa, and
from there they came to settle in Mitchell County.  Eight children were
born to them, two of whom died in infancy.  The wife and six surviving
children have the sympathy of all.

The funeral services were held at the home yesterday morning at ten o'clock,
conducted by Rev. Shaffer.
