OBITUARY: Ruth R. Wells, 1906-2005, Mitchell County, Iowa

Funeral services for Ruth R. Wells, age 99, of Riceville, Iowa, were held
at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Friday, April 1, 2005.   The
Reverend Gary Gilbert officiated.
 
Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville.  Ruth passed away at the
Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center on Monday, March 28, 2005.

Ruth Wells was born East of Riceville on Feb. 27, 1906 to John and Ida
(Reynolds) Fellows. She attended local school and graduated from Riceville
High School in 1926.

Ruth taught school for many years at the Round Grove School.  Ruth was
united in marriage on Sept. 28, 1929 to Aaron Hadley Wells.  Ruth and
Aaron farmed the family farm for many years. Ruth was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Riceville, and loved gardening and animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Aaron in 1958 and
six brothers Howard, Robert David, James, Franklin and Lloyd.

Survivors include her son, Howard of Riceville, a niece and nephews.

Lindstrom Funeral Home, Riceville, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
