OBITUARY: John A. "Jack" Bork, 1930-2005, Mitchell County, Iowa [ Original version posted on www.mcpress.com Oct. 19, 2005 ] John A. "Jack" Bork Funeral services for John A. "Jack" Bork, age 75, of Grafton, Iowa, were held Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton, with Rev. Wayne Ellingson and Irmgard Ellingson, Associate In Ministry officiating. Interment was in the Grafton Cemetery. John died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center-Hospice Unit in Osage, Iowa. Jack was born September 22, 1930, in Grafton, Iowa, the son of John August and Elvera (Rappath) Bork. He graduated from Grafton High School, and attended Wartburg College in Waverly, where he participated in wrestling. Jack married Marilyn O'Rourke in Rockford, Iowa. Marilyn died on May 18, 1968. Jack was a co-owner of the family business, Grafton Produce. He drove school bus for many years in the Grafton and St. Ansgar School districts. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Marilyn in 1968. Jack is survived by one son, John W. (Val) Bork and children Patrice, John J.H., and Brianna of Grafton; two daughters, Gwen (Tom) Seivert and children Tim and Erin of Coon Rapids, Minn.; Lisa (Kevin) Hanson and children Christopher and Anthony Duncomb of Grafton; and a brother, Donald Bork of Maitland, Florida.
